Tree Preservation

Tree preservation is a set of practices, policies, and legal protections aimed at safeguarding trees and forests from harm and removal, especially during construction, to ensure their long-term survival and benefits. This can involve methods like protecting a tree's root system, maintaining air quality, and preventing soil compaction, or broader initiatives like managing forests, planting new trees, and enforcing regulations such as Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) that restrict their removal.

Tree Preservation

In addition to the primary definition of Tree Preservation mentioned above, it can be also stated as 'A desire to do everything possible to preserve the life of a tree that is declining in health.'

There are a number of things that can be done to bring a tree back into good health and to prolong its life expectancy.  This includes, but is not limited to, chemical treatments, proper trimming and pruning, using the 'selective process' to remove a few small trees in close proximity to boost the health of a larger or more desirable specimen.

Whether you are simply worried about the current health of your tree or trees, or if you are looking for a Tree Preservation Plan due to upcoming construction or ecosystem changes to your property, we here at Tree Masters Tree Service are prepared to help you with accomplishing your goals.  We love trees.  We understand how important your trees are to you, and we will follow all standards and practices set forth by tree professionals to ensure the best results.

There are many things to take into consideration before having construction performed on your property.  Don't forget about your trees.  Trees are very sensitive to changes in the ecosystem in which they grow.  Soil compaction is the biggest threat, and steps need to be taken to ensure that your trees and their root systems are protected.  Heavy equipment such as bobcats, tractors, cars, trucks and any other heavy objects, can cause soil compaction and rob your trees of necessary air supply.

Do you have upcoming construction?  Call us first so we can get in front of the situation rather than try to fix your trees after the damage is already done.  We can assess your property and provide you with the necessary steps to ensure that your trees are not affected by your new project.

How do you preserve trees during construction?
Answer:
We protect roots, soil, and the tree’s critical root zone by installing barriers, minimizing compaction, and using specialized methods to reduce stress during construction projects.

Question:
Can a declining tree be preserved?
Answer:
Yes. Declining trees can often be restored with soil aeration, deep root fertilization, watering strategies, disease treatment, and pruning to reduce stress and encourage recovery.

Question:
